Our Popular Kano-Based Textile Company, Mudatex Mudassir And Brothers, Has Renovated A State-Owned Isolation Center, In Order To Support The Government Fight Against COVID-19 Pandemic In The State.
DAILY NIGERIAN Reports That, The Isolation Centre, Located At Ya’rgaya In Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area Of The State, Was Equipped With 20 Beds, 6-Bed Intensive Care Unit, ICU, And 6 Ventilators. Speaking During The Handing Over Of The Facility On Tuesday, The Chairman Of The Mudatex Textile Brand, Mudassir Abubakar, Said The Gesture Stemmed From Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s Call On Well-Meaning Citizens To Support The State In The Fight Against The Virus.
Mr Abubakar Noted That He Was Ready To Cooperate With The State Government On Any Developmental Project In The State, “The Governor Has Supported Business Communities From Every Strata Of Development. He Supported Us From Where We Never Expected. I Remember When The Federal Government Directed Us To Get A Piece Of Land To Support Us In Establishment Of Textile Factory. On Returning From Abuja, I Wrote To Governor Ganduje, Demanding For A Provision Of Land. Within Two Weeks, I Got Response That The Governor Had Granted My Demand. Now, The Project Has Been In An Advanced Stage. The Factory, When Completed, Would Employ Over 10,000 Indigenous Youth Of Kano State. That Is Why I Quickly Answered The Call Of The Governor To Support His Administration In The Fight Against COVID-19,” Said Mr Abubakar.
In His Remarks, Mr Ganduje Recalled That Before The Outbreak Of The Pandemic, The Isolation Center, Which Was Established To Treat Patients Of Ebola And Lassa Fever Diseases, Had Been In A Terrible Condition. The Governor Commended The Mudatex Chairman For Answering The State Government’s Call And Renovated The Centre To A State-Of-The-Art Facility.
“Interestingly, The Facility Has Been Renovated Scientifically As It Has Been Equipped With Air-Tight Ceiling To Prevent The Spread Of The Virus. We Thank Mudassir For This Gesture.
“I Also Thank Doctors Without Borders For Providing Incinerator Where The Wastes Discharged At The Centre Will Be Burnt To Avoid Infecting The Communities. “We Are Finally Witnessing The Reduction Of The COVID-19 Cases In Kano. This Is Owing To Our Collective Efforts To Fight The Pandemic. We Will Soon Isolate COVID-19 In Kano God Willing,” Said Mr Ganduje.
