HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM MUDASSIR AND BROTHERS
Today is a special day for celebrating fathers and honoring fatherhood. The third Sunday in June is dedicated to celebrating Father’s Day in Nigeria and other countries of the world including Morocco, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, Sudan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Canada, and the United States of America.
The history of this celebration dates back to the Middle Ages when it was celebrated as Saint Joseph’s Day. It was later declared Father’s Day in 1910 by the United States. Over 111 countries of the world celebrate it.
Not all countries that celebrated Father’s Day observe it on the same date. In the United Arab Emirates, for example, Father’s Day is celebrated on the 21st of June.
Father’s Day is an iconic day reserved for the recognition of the sacrifices made by fathers all over the world. It is not easy being a father, you have to put everyone first and sacrifice a lot to make everyone happy and comfortable.
Fathers represent a pillar figure in the lives of their children. They work to build a strong foundation for their children to stand on. They have a huge responsibility they bear and are accountable for the welfare of their children and their families at large.
The normal traditions in the celebration of Father’s Day include sending heartwarming messages to fathers, buying them gifts, and cooking special dinners for them.
On this day, we urge you to do something special for your father. If your father is still alive today, you have to do something to remind him that he’s special to you and that you cherish him. Father’s Day is celebrated only once a year. I urge you to make time out of your schedule to make it special for your father.
There are many things you can do to make his day special. From buying him gift cards to taking him shopping, or buying him something wonderful. You also can not go wrong with a home-cooked meal.
If your father is not with us today, there are several ways you can honor your father’s memories. You can do charity on behalf of your father with the intention that the reward goes to him. You can also dedicate your time to sending beautiful prayers to your father or even visit his grave, his final resting place. Do something good on your father’s behalf with the honest intention that the reward goes to his grave.
On this special day, we at Mudassir and Brothers want to recognize and celebrate fatherhood and all the sacrifices and joy that it comes with. May all fathers who put the needs of others before theirs be blessed and get rewarded abundantly.
It’s not easy being a father. It takes a lot of courage, strength, and the mindset to do the right things at the right time.
We urge everyone to take it easy on their fathers, they are not perfect and are bound to make mistakes and wrong choices. Give them room the get better at being fathers.
Happy Father’s Day!
